About Us

The Food for Thought Project was started in 2011 by the Nunez & Boudet families, who both live and work in Cumming, Georgia.

The Food for Thought Project came about when they were looking for a way to give back to our community. Charlie read an article about “A Simple Gesture” in Paradise, California. A Simple Gesture was inspired by the Ashland Food Project in Ashland, Oregon. They decided these programs were the perfect concept on which to base our project. After a few phone conversations and a care package from the folks in charge of “A Simple Gesture” they jumped in with all eight feet.

As of March 2016 Apryl Milam and her husband Wesley Price along with good friends, Amy Willard and Chris Turner have been honored with oversight of the program.

Please join us in our ongoing food drive to keep the shelves of our local food pantries stocked.
